Thierry Henry agrees with Micah Richards on Arsenal vs Man City Premier League title winner

Arsenal favourite Thierry Henry has given his thoughts on the Premier League title race.

The Gunners currently sit top of the table, two points ahead of reigning champions Manchester City with a game in hand. Last weekend's dramatic 4-2 win over Aston Villa returned the north Londoners as league leaders after they fell down to second following the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta's side have 15 games remaining this season, with a tough trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City on Saturday afternoon. Arsenal are still to face Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea before the end of the season ahead of a crucial period for the Gunners.

Now, Henry has tipped his former side to lift the Premier League title in May, admitting his prediction is coming from his heart, not his head. Speaking on CBS Sports' Golazo with Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards, he said: "Arsenal. Just with my heart to cover my head."

Carragher agreed with Henry, whilst former Manchester City defender Richards went with Pep Guardiola's side before swiftly changing his answer to Arsenal.

Henry previously heaped praise onto Arteta for his work conducted in north London since taking over from Unai Emery in 2019. Speaking on the House of Champions podcast: "You could see there was a little disconnection with the fans.

"All the fans wanted is to relate to the team, a team that can compete. They didn't boo the team on Thursday, [defeats] happen, fans can understand that.

"What fans don't understand is when they don't see a team that fights," Henry added. "They don't see themselves in a team that doesn't represent the community. Edu, the board, Mikel Arteta, whoever, however you want to call it, brought that back.

"Are we going to win the league? I don't know. But it looks like the Arsenal I know. At the end of the day, you can't fool fans, they scream, they're there and they have that attitude because they see something, that's why they're loud. It's a different emotion."
