Liverpool confirmed the transfer of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich on Friday afternoon - and the new signing already has a potential song from suppoters.
The Reds opened talks with the German champions on Monday and discussions quickly accelerated across the week after a fee of £20million was agreed between the two European giants.
Liverpool will also pay a further £5m in add-ons for the Spain international for what is viewed inside Anfield as a relatively modest fee for a two-time Champions League winner.
Fans have been excited regarding the potential of Thiago joining for a while - and some have already decided on a song to sing once back in full voice in stadiums when safe to do so following the coronavirus pandemic.
Set to the tune of 'Cuba' by the Gibson Brothers, some lyrics dedicated to the new midfielder have already been thrashed out.
The lyrics are:
"Thiago, Thiago Alcantara...
"Thiago, Thiago Alcantara...
"You dance through the midfield like nobody does, the first time I saw you I knew it was love...
"Thiago, Thiago Alcantara."
It was revealed that Thiago has watched the music video and seen messages from Kopites sharing his new song - and he is a big fan.
The club posted a short clip of the new number six sitting in the Liverpool dressing room, whistling along to the song - clearly enjoying already having a popular tune dedicated to him at his new club.
One Red is even hoping the former Barcelona man will pull off a 'Gibson Brothers shimmy' whenever he scores his first goal for the Reds, although it is not yet clear when he will make his debut.
