NHS workers and emergency services staff can save a little extra money on things like their weekly shop thanks to Blue Light Card discounts. The card, exclusively available to members of the emergency services, offers discounts with some of the country’s biggest companies.
Some discounts, such as 7% off at Halfords, will come in handy for those unexpected emergencies when you run out of screen wash or you need new wiper blades. While others, like 5% off Disneyland Paris holidays, might seem small but will make all the difference as the cost of living continues to rise.
The card is available to all manner of professionals working on the front line, not just NHS workers. Volunteers for first aid and rescue services, prison officers and retired veterans are some of those on the list too, so it’s worth checking out the list to see if you qualify.
