IMOU has launched two new smart home cameras, one for indoors and one for out. Both feature Wi-Fi 6, dual lenses and AI-enhanced pet and human detection.
IMOU has launched two new very affordable smart home security cameras, one for indoors and one for out. And both cameras can see double, thanks to their dual-lens design.
The indoor camera is the Ranger Dual, which is available in either 6MP or 10MP versions and features one fixed lens and one pan and tilt lens. The fixed lens has a wide field of view to capture as much of the room as possible, and the other lens has a 355-degreen pan and 90-degree tilt to get rid of blind spots. The Ranger Dual can also detect unusually loud sounds such as breaking glass or the sound of a baby crying and notify your phone accordingly.
The Ranger Dual features full colour night vision, pet and human detection and two-way audio; 8x digital zoom; WiFi 6; and a built-in microSD slot supporting up to 256GB of local storage. Although its connection is wireless, it uses a wired power source. The UK stockist is B&Q and the price is £59.99 for the 6MP model and £79.99 for the 10MP version.
This outdoor camera can see double, day or night
The same dual-lens approach also features in the IMOU Cruiser Dual, which once again comes in a choice of 6MP or 10MP and has the same combination of fixed and pan lenses. Once gain there's colour night vision, and this outdoor camera adds a built-in spotlight and a 110dB siren to warn off potential intruders. Water resistance is IP66.
The outdoor camera also features what IMOU says is AI human and vehicle detection, AI SENSE, to reduce false alarms, and a Smart Tracking system that can track moving objects. As with the indoor camera there's two-way audio and a choice of local microSD or cloud-based storage.
Once again the camera is available from B&Q. The Cruiser Dual is £89.99 for the 6MP model and £109.99 for the 10MP one.
