There were several questionable — to put it kindly — style choices during the first three rounds of the 2023 Masters

The 87th Masters Tournament kicked off Thursday morning at Augusta National Golf Club with ceremonial tee shots from six-time winner Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson.

For the biggest tournament of the year, apparel brands often outfit their players with the best stuff they offer. Over the years, we’ve seen some great fits — but we’ve also seen some terrible ones.

Thursday morning consisted of more of the latter.

Viktor Hovland, for example, played the opening round in what resembled a splatter painting you would see posted on the walls of a kindergarten room.

Here are some of the worst style choices we saw on the first three days in Georgia.

This one is, uh, a lot.

Viktor Hovland

Viktor Hovland shot his lowest-career round at Augusta National in this shirt Thursday. We’re surprised he didn’t wear it again on Friday.

Keith Mitchell

The buttons on this shirt go down to his belly button. What are we doing here, Mitch? Imagine if Harry Higgs rocked this bad boy.

Si Woo Kim

Si Woo Kim was paired with LIV Golf’s Phil Mickelson during the first two rounds. Do you think this shirt is just a coincidence?

Jason Day

We get that pastels are in at Augusta, but Jason Day’s had better looks. This looks like a shirt that accidentally went through the screen-printer two times with different colors.

Keegan Bradley

A little Hawaii Five-O, and a little Peter Parker, we’re not sure what Bradley was going for here in the first major of the year.

Alex Noren's caddie Mark Crane

Mark Crane of Scotland who caddies for Alex Noren of Sweden waits beside the green on the 18th hole wrapped up against the inclement weather during the completion of the delayed second round of the 2023 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club on April 08, 2023, in Augusta, Georgia. Yes, the temperatures came down considerably between Friday and Saturday, but this was a caddie from Scotland looping for a player from Sweden. We’re not sure the barely-below-50 temps demanded this look, but we will say this — you can always remove layers. We’ll give Crane credit for coming prepared.
