Tragically, Eden was involved in a fatal accident at the accommodation she was staying at last Thursday (June 8), according to a gofundme page which has been set up on behalf of her family to help raise funds to bring her home.
The page has already raised nearly £19,000.
"On June 8th my beautiful sister Eden tragically passed away whilst she was on holiday with her best friend Gina in Madrid," the fundraiser reads.
"Eden was in Madrid preparing to do some press work for her company Polyester, a company she absolutely adored working for, at a festival she had revisited for years with her closest friends.
"Due to the circumstances of Eden's death, we are having to pay to fly her body home from Spain to be with us so we can give her the send-off we know she would want and more than deserves."
Following news of her death, dozens of tributes have poured in for Eden, who has been described as a 'big personality' who was 'destined for so much more.'
Speaking to the M.E.N, a friend of Eden's said: "Eden and I started at high school together. We were extremely close throughout our time there. We remained inseparable until we parted ways for University but always stayed in touch and met up when and where we could for catch ups after this. In school we were Tumblr teens who loved gigs, dying our hair and gigs at Lancaster Library.
"Eden was such a big personality. She was super strong minded and couldn't be told anything that went against her own opinion but we kind of loved her for that because it meant she also really loved and cared with everything she had too.
"She put up such a tough front but was so sweet when you got to know her. She was loud, she was lanky, she was clumsy, she was unapologetically Eden and there was no one else like her. Eden just enjoyed life exactly the way she wanted to and she never changed herself for anyone."
In a post on Facebook, The Peer Hat in Manchester said: "Everybody at the Peer Hat is shocked and devastated by the passing of Eden Young. She will forever be remembered and honoured here.
"May she continue to make us smile in times to come. Eden's family are trying to raise funds to bring her home for burial. Please donate if you can."
Another friend wrote on Twitter: "This is so cruel. My friend Eden died in an accident in Madrid last week. She was the best, v funny and cool - you probably know Eden if you lived in MCR or online.
"You were likely graced by Eden treading the boards at Bundo or the Pev over the years. She was doing exciting work for Polyester Zine, I much enjoyed her Polyester podcast and looked forward to it every week.
"Glad I told Eden she was doing great. She was destined for so much more. Her family are raising funds to bring Eden back to the UK, please support if you can."
