Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer and the other four players play as Survivors. The Survivors do what they can to try and escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer meanwhile plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.
The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer. It may sound easy at first, but the difficulty sets it when knowing that the environment changes every time you play.
Dead by Daylight was first released for the PC in 2016 and then later made available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Then in 2020 is was ported for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is also available for mobile platforms through iOS and Android.
