'There's more my friend!' - Gary Neville fires back with three digs at Jamie Carragher after Liverpool win

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have exchanged words on Twitter as the aftermath of Liverpool’s win over Manchester United continues.

The Reds claimed a 7-0 victory over their bitter rivals in the Premier League clash on Sunday. It’s the biggest win for Liverpool in the history of the fixture between the two clubs.

After the match, Carragher and Neville provided their analysis on Sky Sports, with the pair disagreeing over several aspects of the result. One claim that Neville made was that he thought Liverpool were second best in the first half, despite going into the interval with a 1-0 lead.

Carragher took to Twitter to quote tweet a video featuring Neville pre-match talking to Graeme Souness. Neville said in the video: “I’m not nervous, I’ve never been this confident coming here in the last nine years as a Manchester United fan. This bunch are tough.”

In his caption accompanying the video, Carragher aimed several cheeky digs at Neville's expense.

Carragher wrote: “What a season @GNev2 is having! Arsenal have got no leaders, people just take the ball off [Lionel] Messi now, Liverpool didn’t even play well.”

Neville responded to Carragher’s tweet by listing some claims that Carragher has made at various points over the last 12 months.

“Two of those are right… you will see,” wrote Neville. “Here’s you…. [Lisandro] Martínez can’t play in the Premier League. United should have [Antonio] Conte. [Marcus] Rashford should leave United. Liverpool won’t get anywhere near top four.

“There's more my friend!!”

Carragher then replied with a screenshot featuring two still images taken from the match on Sunday. It featured Mohamed Salah running past Lisandro Martinez in the build-up to Liverpool’s third goal against Man United.
