This may just be the ultimate crisp hack. Having a snack stash is definitely a must have when you’re feeling peckish or planning a chill weekend at home, but some of our favourite snacks can come at a high price.
Well, according to a video that has recently gone viral on TikTok, there is a way you can buy your favourite treats for a fraction of the price - extremely handy during a cost of living crisis.
A money-saving account has explained about a 'secret shop' on eBay people may not be aware of.
In the video, user ‘latestdeals’ reveals there is a 'secret Walkers crisp store' on the online marketplace where they sell 'mega-bundles' of crisps - and its cheaper than supermarkets likes Tesco.
The TikTok, which has over 120k views, goes on to say that they sell 'short-dated crisps' which the website adds 'gives you great savings on a budget'.
Buying crisps that have a short best-before date are especially handy to those with a big family, if you’re throwing a party or even if you’re just a crisp fiend.
For example, if you buy 32 bags of Walkers Crisps Prawn Cocktail Sharing Snack Pack with a best before date at the end of February, they would cost you roughly 50p a bag working out at £15.99.
RRP of each bag is 80p so you get 32 bags for £24 which is 75p per bag, so buying the eBay way would save you £8.
They also do offers that do have a close best before date, such as buying 32 bags of 32.5g Ready Salted Walkers for £17. The website says the RRP for these is £33.64 which is a massive 49% saving.
Other snack varieties they have include Doritos, Nobby’s nuts, Sensations and more.
One buyer from the store commented: “Awesome value and speedy delivery thank you.”
