Thelma Plum has won Song of The Year and the Pop Award at this year's Queensland Music Awards (QMAs).
The Gamilaraay singer-songwriter won the gongs for her single Backseat of My Mind.
As per tradition, the song will be immortalised in a plaque on Fortitude Valley's Walk of Fame in the Brunswick Street Mall.
Album of the Year went to Brisbane indie legends Ball Park Music for their sixth studio album, Weirder and Weirder.
Lindy Morrison of The Go Betweens was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades of work as an advocate for First Nations people and women in the music industry.
It was another strong year for First Nations women with Sycco taking out the Electronic award for her single Ripple, following on from last year where she won both Song of the Year and the Pop Award.
Indigenous artist Miiesha won the Soul/Funk/R&B Award for the third year in a row.
Indie rising star Yb. won both the Folk category and the triple J Unearthed Emerging Artist of the Year Award.
Queensland Music CEO Kris Stewart said the awards honoured exceptional talent.
"From the extraordinary success of established artists like Thelma Plum to emerging artists like Lottie McLeod, these awards are a recognition of the phenomenal music that our artists create," he said.
"I am always so blown away by the immense talent coming out of our state."
Gold Coast singer-songwriter Amy Shark won Highest Selling Single for Sway My Way, and country music legend Adam Brand received Highest Selling Album for All or Nothing.
Several scholarships were also awarded, with Sahara Beck securing the Grant McLennan Fellowship. She will receive $15,000 to travel to New York, London or Berlin and get immersed in their music culture.
Emerging artist NEISH received the Billy Thorpe Scholarship, enabling them to work on their next release with industry giant Chugg Entertainment.
