The Zebras Report for Titans vs. Browns in Week 3

After a big win on Sunday to bring their record to 1-1, the Tennessee Titans are set to travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns in Week 3.

According to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com, the lead official is going to be Craig Wrolstad, a 21-year veteran who has been a white cap for the last 10 seasons.

The good news is, he’s been pretty even with his calls through the first two weeks of the 2023 season, throwing 11 flags apiece for the home and road teams, per Pro Football Reference.

Wrolstad has historically favored the hosts over his officiating tenure, penalizing the visiting squad over 50 percent of the time since the start of 2017, and in 16 of his 21 seasons as both a head referee and field judge.

The home squad has won over 51 percent of the games that Wrolstad has worked in 19 of those campaigns, 15 of which resulted in the home team winning more than 55 percent of the time in comparison to the league average.

This doesn’t mean the Titans are destined to lose by any means, but it’s not great for a Tennessee team that already has issues with officials routinely making bad calls.

Tennessee and Cleveland will kick off from Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday at noon CT.
