It’s time to yee them haws because the trailer for the highly-anticipated final to the Yellowstone series has dropped, and boy oh boy, it’s a bloody doozy.
After months (and I’m talking mooonths) since Season Five, Part One aired, Yellowstone fans have copped a bittersweet treat. Yep, that’s right. Fans of the beloved western drama finally received a trailer for the show’s ending.
And in a weird twist, Kevin Costner, who portrayed Dutton family patriarch John Dutton, seemingly appears in the highly-anticipated trailer despite announcing that he wouldn’t be returning for one final rodeo… SPOOKY.
For folks who’ve never jumped into the sweet, sweet cowboy boots of Yellowstone, the series follows the Dutton family, who would do anything to protect their Montana cattle ranch. With such a large responsibility, the ranch and the family are constantly in conflict with people who border the ranch or those trying to inch in on the land, such as land developers and the US’ first National Park.
OH, and there are a lot of unsolved murders.
Basically like Home and Away sprinkled with Stetsons and replace the River Boys with cowboys instead.
To celebrate the show’s trailer, which marks the end of the show forever, here’s everything you need to know about this bloody rodeo.
Saddle up, here’s everything you need to know about Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2

Is there a trailer for Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2?
Yee bloody haw there is! On Wednesday, October 23, the official trailer for Yellowstone Season Five, Part Two dropped.
Peep below for all that cowbaddie business.
Look with all these banger one-liners wrangled within this trailer, I just know the Yellowstone fan edits are about to EAT.
What is the plot of Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2?
Although Yellowstone Season Five Part Two has yet to drop, we know that the big finish will feature a lot of fights, blood and epic lines of dialogue — which got me sucked into the show in the first place because I love doomscrolling on TikTok.
What we do know is that Kevin Costner, who portrayed Dutton family patriarch John Dutton, will not be returning for the show’s final run.
“I just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon and doing all the things that are required, and thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love, that I know you love, I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5B or into the future,” he shared in an Instagram video to fans.
However, what caught fans’ eyes in the show’s finale trailer was what seemed to be flashback scenes of Costner’s character. It’ll be interesting to see how the family patriarch is portrayed in the finale with the actor’s confirmed absence.
Or maybe old mate’s just gone to the train station… who knows? IYKYK.
When is Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 coming out?
The big cowboy finale will premiere on November 11, 2024. So you’ve got a couple of weeks to clear out your schedule for this ‘yuge TV event!
And don’t worry, the finale will air at the same time it drops in the US so the memes and reactions will make sense!
Who is in Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2?
Besides Costner, who previously announced that he would be absent for the final season, a bunch of Yellowstone faves will be reprising their roles for the highly-anticipated and long-awaited finish.
