The Woolpack's Emmerdale reopening set to be sabotaged

The reopening of Emmerdale’s historic pub The Woolpack looks set to be sabotaged.

Emmerdale viewers have been eagerly-awaiting the reopening of the Woolie for some time following its destruction at Christmas in a major fire.

The village boozer will soon reopen but things look far from plain sailing for new owner Charity Dingle - played by Emma Atkins.

Plans for its launch look set to be thwarted by cousin Chas Dingle. Emmerdale fans will see Chas upsetting her Charity by taking a job at the B&B.

Chas aims to make it a venue for people to go for food and drink thus making it direct competition to the Woolpack.

Worse, on the day of the pub’s reopening, Chas and Mandy decide to hold Liv and Vinny’s wedding reception at the B&B. Meaning family will be there rather than at the Woolpack.

Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chastity Dingle, said: “Half of her is thinking that Mandy will still be able to have this celebration of Vinny and Liv being together, but half of her is also seeing the opportunity to go in competition with Charity and run this wedding celebration against her opening.

“So it is to make Mandy happy because she’s upset that she’s had nothing to do with the wedding but also another excuse to try and be in competition with Charity.”

The reopening of the Woolie will be offset with a number of problems.

Fans will see food delivery issues while tenses between Charity and Chastity Dingle grow.
