With February half term upon us it can be a challenge trying to keep the kids entertained all week. Luckily there are some incredible attractions you can visit right on our doorstep.
Sometimes going for walks can be a bit boring for little ones, yet there’s one woodland walk with a difference you can do this half term. Around a 40 minute drive from Manchester is Arley Hall in Cheshire, which is hosting the Totally Roarsome event.
It’s a trail you can follow through the woods where you’ll spot dinosaurs, unicorns, farm animals and more along the way. It’s around 1.5km long and aimed at families with primary school children.

There’s a quiz kids can complete as they explore the route, keeping their eyes peeled for the weird and wonderful creatures dotted along it. Small children will definitely be mesmerised by the models and it’s guaranteed to spark their imagination.
The event is running from February 17 to 23. Tickets, costing £8.95 each (under twos free), can be booked online. Entry price includes a free group photo to take home. Visit the website to book.
Totally Roarsome is held in the grounds of Arley Hall, a spectacular stately home which dates back to the 15th century. Separate tickets can be bought to access the house, which is open the weekend of February 25. For more information visit the hall’s website.
