The woeful Swansea City player ratings as several men flatter to deceive at Stoke City

ANDY FISHER 4

Good stop to deny Jaden Philogene-Bidace early on but couldn't get near Stoke's first two goals. Good finish saw him beaten for a third time.

RYAN BENNETT 4

Bravely threw himself in front of a few Stoke efforts but struggled to help Swansea's passing game, particularly in the first half. Harshly but fairly sent off in the second half as the game was swiftly put to bed.

FLYNN DOWNES 4

Didn't looked his usual confident and composed self as Swansea struggled to get up the pitch. Some important defensive interventions though.

BEN CABANGO - Star Man 5

The Welshman was the pick of the bunch at the back for Swansea, making plenty of tackles and clearances to limit the efforts on Fisher's goal. Made his share of sloppy mistakes though as Stoke harassed the Swans' defence.

CYRUS CHRISTIE 4

Pass completion rate in the first half was so poor and he couldn't offer a threat in attack. Tiredness finally caught up with him following a hectic introduction to life with the Swans.

JAY FULTON 4

Couldn't offer any kind of threat in attacking areas and was unable to test Joe Bursik in the first half with what was Swansea's best chance of the game. Worked hard defensively though.

MATT GRIMES 4

Unable to give his side any kind of forward momentum, such was Swansea's lacklustre display. His best work came at the back, with the captain making a number of clearances.

HANNES WOLF 4

Having been so positive in recent weeks, the Austrian looked scared to get up the pitch for long periods.

KOREY SMITH 3

Playing in a deeper role, Smith was off the pace and was bailed out by Bennett on one occasion too. Subbed at the break.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 3

Incredibly disappointing in possession as Swansea failed to keep hold of the ball in attack. Subbed in the second half.

MICHAEL OBAFEMI 4

Put himself about in a desperate attempt to get on the ball, but had precious little luck. Starved of service, in truth.

Subs

Joel Piroe (for Smith) - The game was beyond Swansea shortly after his introduction. Had his side's only effort on target in the second half. 5

Jamie Paterson (for Ntcham) - Couldn't really make an impact as Stoke doubled their lead and Swansea had Bennett sent off after his introduction. 5

Kyle Joseph (for Christie) - As above. Got forward well when possible. 5
