The creative behind The Battersea Poltergeist, Danny Robbins, has announced a new instalment to the horror radio series called The Witch Farm.

The eight-part podcast will be a blend of drama and documentary as it reinvestigates a real life ghost story.

Its star-studded cast includes The Handmaid’s Tale lead Joseph Fiennes and No Offence star Alexandra Roach.

Game of Thrones actor Owen Teale and Inside No 9’s Reece Shearsmith will also take part in the highly anticipated podcast.

What is The Witch Farm about?

The official synopsis for the series teases: “It’s 1989, rural Wales, a lonely old farmhouse in the shadow of the imposing Brecon Beacons mountains.

“Young, pregnant Liz Rich and her artist husband Bill rent an isolated farmhouse in the Welsh countryside, with Bill’s teenage son Laurence.

“They’re hoping for a fresh start, but the house holds dark secrets, and the family’s new life becomes a terrifying ordeal that will change them forever.

“Their dream home has become a haunted nightmare - but what is real and what is in their minds?”

Danny Robbins will be joined by parapsychologists Ciaran O’Keeffe and Evelyn Hollow as he investigates what happened in the seemingly idyllic farmhouse all those years ago.
