TUNE up the big red car, wake up Lachie and cut a fresh bouquet of flowers for Dorothy The Dinosaur because The Wiggles have announced their return to touring following the COVID break.
It promises to be a sweet and fruity return from Anthony, Emma, Lachie and Simon, too. The We're All Fruit Salad Tour will be a 14-date tour in April and May of some of Australia's biggest indoor venues.
The Wiggles are promising a collection of their best-loved children's hits like Hot Potato, Rock-A-Bye Your Bear and Do The Propeller, plus new songs written during COVID-19.
The Wiggles visit Bendigo Stadium (April 15), Canberra Theatre (April 17-18), WIN Entertainment Centre Wollongong (April 20) and the Newcastle Entertainment Centre (April 21). Tickets are on sale Tuesday from 10am.
STEFANI HOLLERS BACK TO SKA ROOTS
IT'S been 25 years since Gwen Stefani broke onto the global music scene with her pop-ska band No Doubt with the feminist anthem Just A Girl.
The 51-year-old is aiming to wind back the clock with a return to her ska roots on her solo single Let Me Reintroduce Myself. The single even offers a sly callback of "I already gave you bananas," as a nod to the cheerleader chant on her 2005 Pharrell Wiilliams-produced smash Hollaback Girl.
RUBENS' FOURTH CUT
THE Rubens continued to ramp on preparations for their fourth album 0202 this week with the release of the record's fourth single, Masterpiece.
The track blends rock, R'n'b, pop and hip hop genres and laments the realisation of a love lost.
Masterpiece follows the already-released cuts Time Of My Life, Heavy Weather and Live In Life.
0202 will be released on February 12 followed by their postponed album tour. You can catch The Rubens at the Crooked River Winery, Gerringong (April 3); Bar On The Hill, Newcastle (April 17); Riverlinks Westside, Shepparton (April 28); Saloon Bar, Launceston (May 22); Beer Deluxe, Albury (June 9); The Whalers Hotel, Warrnambool (June 10) and Torquay Hotel (June 11).
