If you’re anything like me, your Monday nights are fully dedicated to the masterpiece that is Season 3 of The White Lotus.
It’s not hard to see why, as the show clocked a whopping fifteen Emmys across its first two seasons.
As locked in as I am to my laptop screen every Monday, I’m already in despair knowing that this will be coming to an end very, very soon.
Not to fear though, as just in case you didn’t know — The White Lotus was picked up for Season 4 before Season 3 even premiered. Thank you to the HBO Gods for understanding true beauty when it exists.
Since our new favourite ‘eat the rich’ extravaganza is coming back for a fourth rendition, we’ve pulled together everything we know so far. We’ll keep this updated as we learn more, so watch this space.

When is The White Lotus Season 4 coming out?
I’m going to try and put this gently.
We had to wait over two years between Season 2 and Season 3. By that trajectory, it’s really not looking good timeframe wise.
It’s understood that Season 4 of The White Lotus will begin production in 2026, so we can expect a drop at either the end of 2026 or early 2027.
In all honesty, I will be continuing to hope and plead for an earlier release date, but realistic expectations are everything.
We’ll probably need to sit tight for a little while longer.

No, there isn’t.

Who’s starring in The White Lotus Season 4?
It’s still very early days on who we might see pop up on our screens for Season 4 of The White Lotus, and the show doesn’t really bring back characters except for a select few (Belinda, my beloved).

But never say never, as even creator Mike White has teased the possibility of recurring characters galore.
In a May 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, White mentioned the possibility of bringing back past characters for an ‘all-star season’, adding that “It would be easy to just be full-on anthology, but I think it’s more fun to have little threads through the show.”
If you too are obsessed with Valentina’s (Sabrina Impacciatore) energy in Season 2, we might be blessed enough to see her return. Where is Season 4 of The White Lotus taking place?
Nothing is set in stone yet, but again, people on the internet are going crazy with their own dream scenarios.

Season 1 of The White Lotus was set in Hawaii, Season 2 in Sicily, and as we know, Season 3 is currently unfolding in gorgeous Thailand. All three seasons have been shot in Four Seasons hotels too, so we can assume that consistency will remain.
A source spoke to Parade in February 2025, flagging that producers are already scouting new locations.
“Right now, it’s looking like the next season of The White Lotus will be shot in Egypt or Mexico,” the source told Parade. “They want to pick somewhere they haven’t shot yet, so a new continent. They want to go somewhere completely new since this season is in Asia, which is why they’re between the two. The decision should be made soon.”
Personally, I’m team Mexico. The hungover burrito bowls would go crazy.
What will the newest season be about?
All three seasons of The White Lotus have started off in a similar vein — a murder mystery, which then sets the basis of the entire season as we discover what unfolded.
Can we assume that Season 4 of The White Lotus will follow the same structure? Maybe, but alas, our fan-favourite theme song of Seasons 1 & 2 disappeared for Season 3, so there’s no telling what could change.

Back in May 2023, White told The Hollywood Reporter about his flexibility with the future direction of the show.
“I don’t think it needs to always be a body. There are so many ways that we want to reinvent the show each year. Like, what is this show – other than people? A fresh mystery, people maybe expect that. But I don’t feel constrained by expectation. It’s fun.”
One thing is for certain, and it’s that our favourite showrunner already has an idea of how Season 4 of The White Lotus will run. It was reported back in November 2024 that he had already begun pitching ideas to Casey Bloys, HBO and Max Content CEO.
As I wait with anticipation, I’ll enjoy these last few weeks of The White Lotus Season 3 with my favourite nepo babies and Saxton (Patrick Schwarzenegger).
