A West Country spot dubbed England's favourite village also has the UK's poshest farm shop just around the corner and is definitely worth a day trip.
Kingham, in Chipping Norton, takes around one hour and 20 minutes to travel from Bristol for drivers using the M5. Quintessentially Cotswolds, Kingham is full of chocolate box cottages, and lovely village pubs, reports Wiltshire Live.
The location is set in the broad Evenlode valley with wide open village greens, bordered by elegant homes, many dating from the 17th and 18th Centuries. The small village comprises of a shop, a church and two pubs.

Nearby attractions include Churchill and Sarsden Heritage Centre and Daylesford Organic, dubbed " the UK's poshest farm shop ". The opulence doesn't end there, Kingham is a foodie's paradise with two highly-rated pubs, the Kingham Plough and The Wild Rabbit, as well as the annual Big Feastival held at Blur bassist Alex James’ local farm.
The inspiration for Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm, Daylesford delivered food hampers to Boris Johnson at Number 10 during lockdown. It is also the go-to shop for the Beckhams and other Cotswold celebrities, reports GloucestershireLive.
It became a hotspot for the rich and famous during lockdown, with Princess Beatrice and Eddie Redmayne said to be among the many famous faces spotted with produce from Daylesford farm shop.
You might even spot English singing sensation Ellie Goulding while you're there, she's a regular customer at Daylesford Organic and reportedly lives nearby. According to The Telegraph : "There are many tell-tale signs of the Daylesford Diva. Its glamorous clientele includes Ellie Goulding, who rents on the Daylesford property."

Goulding moved to the area in 2021 as the singer and her husband art dealer, Casper Jopling, were cooped up in their Cotswold home during the pandemic. Their six-bedroom £1.3 million manor house was renovated to restore a barn to its original state.
Travel vlogger Fabianaleone04 shared a video of the dreamy location on TikTok. The footage showed historic homes, beautiful little cafes and rolling green fields.
