A beach hut in a prime location in one of Wales' most prestigious seaside towns could break all records if it goes for the guide price. The double-fronted hut that measures eight metres wide and three metres long at Abersoch has a whopping guide price of £250,000.
That is around £30,000 more than the average house price in Gwynedd, NorthWalesLive reports.
The beach - and its famous shacks - has been known for its high prices at auction in recent years, with the record standing at the £160,000 secured for a bathing hut in 2017. In 2021, a tiny wooden one went up for sale with an "unbelievable" guide price of £175,000.
This new one on the market is a bit different with a prime location offering space on both sides and being close to the Beach Cafe. The sale is being done by 'informal tender' with offers to be submitted in writing to agent Beresford Adams by 5pm on Friday June 30.

It has already attracted some attention with the Cheshire Set account joking on Twitter: "Wow! BOGOF Beach hut offer on in Abersock [sic]. Only while stocks last." One user responded to ask: "Are we allowed to fly the flag of St George at these huts?", while another said: "Ideal to park both of your jetskis there I guess".
The estate agent's listing said: "A rare opportunity to acquire a freehold double unit bathing hut being one of the largest on the much sought after Abersoch Main Beach, closer to the Yacht Club end and a couple hundred yards from the Beach Café and Sailing School. The present owner acquired the site some years ago and replaced the original hut with a modern construction, measuring a total 8m x 3m externally with two separate roller shutter entry doors.
"The unit could be sub-divided if required by erecting an internal party dividing wall. The hut is subject to council tax rates, for 2023 /24 the rates payable are £722.
"A great family location to relax and play on these golden sands and to take in the wonderful views across Cardigan Bay to the St Tudwals Islands with the backdrop of the Cambrian Mountain Range."
