If you watched the hit Netflix film Enola Holmes or the equally popular BBC series I May Destroy You during the pandemic, then you'll definitely have come across Welsh actor Gaby French.
Born in Cardiff, Gaby has an impressive CV, with her latest on-screen roles including the ITV thriller The Ipcress File as Natalie Lewis and as Mandy in Sky Atlantic's A Discovery of Witches' She also appeared alongside Sharon Horgan and Kristin Scott-Thomas in Peter Cattaneo's film Military Wives.
But it's not just screens big and small that Gaby has been appearing on. She's also treading the boards on Broadway in New York at the moment, starring in Martin McDonagh's play Hangmen as Shirley alongside 'Game of Thrones' actor Alfie Allen.

The Tony-nominated thriller is set during the mid-1960s in a Lancashire pub, considering the end of capital punishment in the UK through the eyes of Harry Wade (played by David Threlfall) the 'second best hangman' in the country. Gaby stars in the hit play as Harry Wade's teenage daughter, Shirley.
Her acting in the role has seen her snap up a Theatre World Award for outstanding Broadway debut with the actress posting about her win on her Instagram account. In her second year of drama school at ARLA Gaby won the prestigious Laurence Olivier bursary award.
However she left her third year of drama school early to play the lead in Hampstead Theatre's Scarlett, the story of a woman who starts a new life in the Welsh countryside. The following year, she landed the role of Shirley in the off-Broadway production of Hangmen, taking her to New York.
Among her other acting credits, Gaby also appeared as a maid in ITV's Victoria back in 2019 and starred as Mia in the dark-comedy anthology series Inside No. 9, co-created by Reece Shearsmith who starred alongside Gaby in Hangmen.
