The Wanted Tom Parker's wife takes holiday couple planned before his tragic death

Tom Parker's wife has headed on her first holiday since The Wanted star's tragic death.

Kelsey, 32, said the trip to Ireland for her friends' wedding was "bittersweet" as her husband had been asked to be an usher at the ceremony. Tom died in March at the age of 33, less than two years after being diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumour.

Kelsey took to Instagram this week to update followers on her trip to Ireland that she was now attending alone, the Mirror Online reports. The mum-of-two said: "Hey guys, so I've just got to Ireland today.

"I've come to Ireland for my best friend's wedding Ruth Ann and Ollie's wedding. Yep it's gonna be a really weird weekend for me, obviously it's gonna be a bittersweet.

"Because obviously Ruth and Ollie are getting married, and I'm super happy for them, but Tom was meant to be here this weekend, he was meant to be an usher. It's gonna be the first event, wedding, that I've actually been to, without him. being with me.

"So yeah, this weekend is going to be a tough one."

Kelsey appeared on the ITV daytime show Loose Women earlier this month to give her first interview on life without her husband of four years. Kelsey said she was 'still in shock' over Tom's death but believes The Wanted star has been sending her signs from beyond the grave.

"He has given me so many signs… car alarms go off at four in the morning, I tell him 'not at four in the morning Tom!

"I do talk to him. I think that’s a release as well. To talk to him, and I can feel him there."

She went on: "I feel strong, I’m just getting through each day. I have the kids. I have to wake up each day, I have to get on with it, just trying to be as strong as possible in a really difficult situation and time for us all."
