Tom Parker had bought his "forever home", where he hoped to grow old with his family, before his death from cancer.
The Wanted singer, who died yesterday at the age of 33, spoke about his plans for the future with his wife and two young children in Channel 4 documentary Inside My Head, which aired in November.
The star married his now-wife Kelsey in 2018, and the couple visited the home with cameras, before moving into the picturesque property.
Tom spoke of his dream of living there for many years, saying: "This is gonna be our forever home.
"It's important for me that obviously the kids and Kels have got somewhere nice to grow up.
"I don't know what's going to happen with my health over the next few years, so as long as they're alright and they're all good here, that's all that matters.
"We're all going to grow old together here, fingers crossed."
He told the camera how proud he was of being able to buy the property, saying: "Been through tough times to be honest and I'm preparing to buy a place like this, who would have thought? I'm proud of myself."
The 33-year-old died after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer glioblastoma.
Kelsey, with whom Tom shared children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, 15-months old, announced the news on her Instagram.
She said: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.
"Our hearts are broken. Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."
The singer had recently joined his bandmates on stage for their reunion tour one last time, sitting on a throne as he joined Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George and Jay McGuiness on tour.
However, a family friend told The Sun that his condition got worse following the end of the tour.
Tom joined The Wanted in 2009 after heading along to mass auditions for a boyband.
They launched to huge success, with their debut singe All Time Low going straight to number one, leaving Tom and Max in tears.
McFly's Harry Judd, singer HRVY and Strictly dancer James Jordan are among the celebrities who have paid tribute to Tom.
His band also released a heartbreaking statement following his death.
They said: "Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan and the whole Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our bandmate Tom Parker, who passed away peacefully at lunchtime today surrounded by his family and his band mates.
"He was our brother, words can’t express the loss and sadness we feel."
