The Wanted have re-recorded and released a new version of their single Gold Forever to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity after the tragic death of band member Tom Parker.
Tom passed away aged just 33 in March, less than 18 months after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Tom's wife and family requested that Gold Forever was played during his funeral - with his band members now creating an updated version of the single entitled Gold Forever (For Tom)
Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes recorded the song, which was played at Tom's funeral last week in south-east London.
The band then made the song available to download to allow fans to keep the track in memory of the Bolton native.
On top of that, The Wanted, Island Records and the writers and producers of the song will be donating all net proceeds to The Brain Tumour Charity.
The charity funds research, raises awareness and provides support and information to people with brain tumours.
Their chief executive Alex Lochrane said: “ Gold Forever (For Tom) is a beautiful song and a moving tribute to Tom, and we are profoundly grateful to The Wanted that donations from the sales of this single will help us fund world-class research and vital support services for anyone affected by brain tumours.
"Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Tom’s wife Kelsey, their children, family and friends at this saddest of times, as well as with fans of The Wanted worldwide."
Gold Forever was first released in 2012.
It reached number three in the charts and was the third hit to reach the UK Top 10 for The Wanted after All Time Low reached number one and Heart Vacancy peaked at number two.
Max opened up about carrying Tom's coffin during the service on Instagram last week, in which he shared that he felt honoured to have been able to support Tom in such a way at the service.
He wrote: "Good night beautiful boy. I will always think of you. Thanks for making my life so much better than I could ever have hoped for. Carrying you was an honour."
