The Wanted pay touching tribute to 'brother' Tom Parker after tragic death at 33

The Wanted have paid a touching tribute to their late bandmate Tom Parker following his death from a brain tumour at the age of 33.

Tom tragically passed away today having been diagnosed with incurable glioblastoma in 2020, with wife Kelsey sharing the news around 5pm .

Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George and Nathan Sykes have since put out a joint statement on Instagram following the devastating news.

The lads wrote: "Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan and the whole Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our bandmate Tom Parker, who passed away peacefully at lunchtime today surrounded by his family and his band mates.

"Tom was an amazing husband to Kelsey, and father to Aurelia and Bodhi.

"He was our brother, words can’t express the loss and sadness we feel. Always and forever in our hearts."

They ended: "Tom Parker 1988-2022"

Siva also said in a personal statement: "Hey Tom, I hope you are having a blast up there. I am so grateful that I had the chance to witness your true courage.

"It has been a pleasure of my life Tommy Boy. Thank you for letting us see you light up the world.

"Talk to you soon and see you later. Love you brother x"

Scots born The Vamps star Connor Ball was amongst those paying tribute. They said: "33 is far too young, so much sadness, Rest in peace Tom Parker."

X Factor singer Caitlyn Vanbeck who was a lifelong fan said: "My heart is genuinely broken. No words. Tommy P you were a legend of your time."
