The Vamps star Connor Ball has revealed he and his bandmates were caught off guard, relaxing in their boxers when a group of fans walked into their hotel room.
Connor and his bandmates, James Brittain-McVey, Bradley Will Simpson and Tristan Evans were staying at a swanky hotel in Manchester but their downtime was soon interrupted.
Currently, Connor, 27, is embarking on a solo project with drummer Sasa Macek, with the group forming the duo The Lunar Year.
The group who recently released their latest track Hey! Wait! are working on a debut album as well as penning hits with Mark Hoppus of Blink-182.
Recalling the awkward hotel incident when asked about any wild fan experiences, bassist Connor exclusively told the Mirror: "We've had a fair few, I think a mix of being sent very strange things and people just walking into hotel rooms.
"Getting sent body hair, that's interesting."
He went on to add: "We were just sat in our boxers, going in between each other's rooms so when it wasn't the other boy that walked in, I was like 'Sh*t, I'm dead'.
"I still to this day don't know how they figured that out, I'm not sure if they tried every floor and just went up and down until they could hear us.
"We were doing a TwitCam at the time, as well – there's mob mentality, if one person does it and a group does it, it becomes an OK thing to do."
Last year, The Vamps revealed to the Daily Star that a fan had mailed them her used tampon leaving the quartet unamused.
Connor joked that when he was writing Hey! Wait! with Hoppus he "didn't try to give him any piece" of his hair.
Reflecting on writing his new single with Mark, he said: "We were like 'oh my God!' because for me growing up, Mark is a bassist as well, he's just an absolute idol for me, Blink as a whole, so to have that opportunity was insane."
Discussing the song, Connor explained: "I had this concept that I thought he could relate to with everything he's been through because we've both been in bands for years.
"Sometimes you've been on tour, and maybe you haven't quite been in the moment or enjoyed it as much as you could have just because your mind has been elsewhere or you're having a bad day.
"But at the end of the day, you have to remember what you're actually doing and how lucky we've been in that process and to be present."
