The ultimate guide to this Spring's high street fashion collections: the 5 pieces to buy now

Beyond the beautiful boutiques of Mount Street — which, for the record, are always worth a visit — an affordable high street revolution has taken place.

This spring boasts the most fashionable set of high street collections we’ve ever seen. M&S is simply booming. John Lewis, in a flap to catch up, has massively improved its design and buy. Walk down Oxford Street and you’ll see the newest Zara collection shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, ex-Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller’s latest looks for Uniqlo and the COS runway collection, fresh off a New York catwalk.

From Reiss’s atelier line and Mango’s smart linen launch (it’s coming soon) to Arket’s Phoebe Philo-adjacent green leather bags and Gap’s renaissance (Zac Posen debuts his collection as its creative director next month), you don’t need to look far to give your wardrobe a flashy update.

Here, the key purchases from the high street.

The boho bag

All things boho continue to be hot as we move into this SS25 season, and Zara’s latest “Studio” drop hits all the Gladiator-cum-Glastonbury notes required.

The butter yellow piece

It’s the official “colour of the season”, so consider leaning all the way in. COS have an excellent two piece suit. A nice way to embrace it more subtly is with a smart, pale yellow Oxford shirt.

(Gant)

Oversized fit Oxford shirt, £125,gant.co.uk

The suede jacket

Midnight Cowboy is coming to the Playhouse Theatre — as well as M&S. Embrace a suede leather jacket (most of the top high street shops offer their own spin). This Autograph style is great.

Autograph jacket, £279, coming soon, marksandspencer.com

The barrel jean

The It-denim shape pertains this season — consider Damson Madder, one of the buzziest brands at the moment, for a pair. John Lewis and Levi’s will also kit you out nicely.

The leather clog

It’s a bold choice, but one you won’t regret — these clumpy shoes took the Paris catwalks by storm (see: Chloé), and will serve you well both at the pub as well as evenings out to Mediterranean-adjacent restaurants come the summer months,
