The Traitors winners revealed as jaw-dropping finale sees Wilf finally exposed

The Traitors viewers saw the moment we'd all been waiting for on Thursday night, as the jaw-dropping and tense finale confirmed who had won the prize fund.

After weeks of challenges, banishments and 'murders', it all came down to the final five contestants - two of which were Traitors.

It was up to the three remaining Faithfuls to work out how many Traitors were left, and who they were - otherwise if there were any left at the end of the game, they would get the prize money

After learning there was over £80,000 in the pot on Wednesday night's show, host Claudia Winkleman informed them that the players would choose when to end the game on Thursday night - by which point the fund had reached over £100,000.

Traitors Kieran and Wilfred had to remain undetected for as long as possible in the hope of convincing everyone to end the game.

Of course Faithfuls Hannah, Aaron and Meryl knew full well that there was at least one Traitor left on the show, given Andrea had been murdered the day before - and Maddy had been banished, but was a Faithful.

During the tense final episode of the BBC series, Hannah, Aaron and Meryl did everything they could to find out who was lying to them, and they remained convinced Wilf was a Faithful.

Kieran, however, ran out of luck just days on from him being recruited as a Traitor after Wilf's ultimatum.

During the final roundtable Kieran was rumbled by the group and was sent packing, costing him the prize money.

But it didn't end there, as much as Wilf was hoping it would - and in a twist it all came crashing down for him.

Kieran left Wilf with a "parting gift" and hinted to the others that someone amongst them was setting him up.

In tense scenes that left viewers on the edge of their seats, Hannah and Aaron began to speculate Wilf after weeks of backing him.

While some including Maddy had said from the start he was a Traitor, his close pal Hannah and the rest were not sure.

But this all changed on Thursday night, as Kieran's words would not leave the heads of Aaron or Hannah.

With minutes left and just as they came close to the end, Hannah and Aaron declared Wilf could be a Traitor and they were proven right - as a vote led to a banishment.

The pair and Meryl were left reeling over the twist though, as Wilf cried after falling at the final hurdle.

The final discovery meant all Traitors had been uncovered, and Hannah, Aaron and Meryl were the winners.

They managed to secure the £100,000 plus prize money for themselves, splitting it between them - as Wilf was left with nothing.

The Traitors is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
