The Traitors contestant Amanda has been labelled "iconic" by BBC viewers. The estate agent, who hails from Swansea, was one of the three players selected by presenter Claudia Winkleman to become a traitor on the channel's brand-new game show.
Described as a "nail-biting psychological competition," the series sees 22 contestants head to a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a game of deception and discovery, where £120,000 is up for grabs.
While the group have to work together across a number of missions to add to the prize pot, in a huge twist, three of the players have been hand-picked to become the traitors. Their job is to 'murder' one of their fellow players every night while remaining undetected, meanwhile, the others, who are called the faithfuls, must try and work out who is betraying them and get them eliminated.

So far the traitors have managed to stay under the radar, while the faithfuls are having less success, incorrectly banishing their own. Alongside Amanda, business student Alyssa, 21, and 28-year-old senior fundraiser Wilfred have also been selected to be the traitors. While the trio have managed to stay largely undetected, Wilfred's name has come up a few times from suspicious co-stars. Alyssa and Amanda, however, have not been suspected by anyone.
Before she was picked, Amanda, 54, told Claudia she thought she'd be a good traitor because she'd play "the mum role and then murder them at night." And it seems to be a tactic that's working as Amanda has been labelled "pure" by her fellow contestants who are none the wiser. You can read more on this here.

Amanda's sneaky tactics have gone down a storm with viewers at home too, with many calling the player an "icon". Sharing their thoughts on Twitter, one fan wrote: "I think Amanda might be my favourite TV contestant in an age. A total QUEEN." While another added: "OMG! Amanda The Traitor is playing a blinder," and a third commented: "Amanda the silent assassin grandma - love her."
"I'm two minutes into episode one of #thetraitors and I love Amanda already she's iconic," said a fourth, while a fifth added: "Amanda is iconic." "Wil, Amanda and Alyssa are playing a blinder so far," wrote another. "No one is suspecting them."
Amanda, who is a mother to twins, said of entering the show: "I've always liked watching reality TV, but they're always geared towards the younger generation. That was something that appealed to me, as well as the logic behind the game, the secrecy. I think I can read people very well, so I really fancied having a go."
She added: "I'm prepared to do anything. I've got to bring the trophy back to Wales. Especially because it's filmed in a castle, I've got to." You can read more about Amanda here. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
