The Tottenham players back for pre-season today, five who started early and when others return

Tottenham's non-international players start to return to Hotspur Way from Monday and will join five players who came back early before the rest return.

A quintet of players returned early last week to Spurs' Enfield-based training complex as they all looked to get a head start following injury-enforced absences towards the end of last season. Oliver Skipp, Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga were all back last Monday to begin their work ahead of the new season as they all aim to impress Antonio Conte with a seamless return into pre-season.

Sergio Reguilon also returned to Hotspur Way last week following his groin problems towards the end of last season and new signing Ivan Perisic arrived at the training ground on Friday to begin work indoors following his calf injury in his final appearance for Inter Milan.

Now the quintet will be joined from Monday by the returning Conte and those Spurs players who did not take part in international fixtures at the end of last season. Those first batch of returning stars will include new signing Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin, Emerson Royal, Eric Dier, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Harvey White, Lucas Moura, Jack Clarke as well as Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentancur, who both pulled out of their respective England U21 and Uruguay international squads.

Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso as well as Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr, who both last played on June 7, and Cristian Romero have also returned early, as has new signing Yves Bissouma, who was in international action for Mali in early June before an injury.

While others may choose also to return early, the remainder of the club's international players are expected to come back in time for the squad's flight to South Korea on July 9 for their summer tour.

Those involved in plenty of international matches after the end of last season have been told to return that Saturday for their various sports science tests before flying out with the team later that evening to Korea, where they will be put through their paces and face matches against Team K League on July 13 and Sevilla on July 16.

The rest of the Spurs players to come back in time for the flight are Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Dejan Kulusevski, Steven Bergwijn, Son Heung-min, Troy Parrott and Harry Kane, while Tottenham's latest new signing Richarlison finished his international duties in early June so could return sooner.

As has been the case in recent years, some players may be excused from heading off on the tour to Korea as they seek moves away from the club this summer.

Tottenham's other pre-season matches are against Rangers in Glasgow on July 23 and Jose Mourinho's Roma in Israel on July 30, with their Premier League season starting the following weekend with Spurs hosting Southampton on August 6.
