The Tottenham player forced to withdraw from pre-season training session amid injury concern

Tottenham's pre-season tour of South Korea is brought to you in association with Nord VPN, sponsors of football.london's coverage.

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski has withdrawn from an open training session as a precaution after picking up a potential injury.

Spurs trained in front of around 6,000 fans as Son Heung-min led the side out for a 'gruelling' session. Antonio Conte put his players through their paces in the heat, with Son, Harry Kane and Yves Bissouma all dropping in and out of the session.

Sergio Reguilon and three other senior players have been left out of the squad that travelled to Asia with Conte looking to move the Spaniard on this summer, with Sevilla interested in the defender's services. Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Bissouma all travelled, while fifth summer signing Clement Lenglet must wait to link up with his new teammates after being unable to secure a visa in time for the tour following his arrival last week.

football.london Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold is covering the Lilywhites' tour of South Korea and captured a video of leaving the session. Kulusevski walked off the pitch during the training session and speaking to the Spurs coaching staff.

The Swedish attacker did not look in any pain or discomfort as he exited the field and pointed towards the back of his leg when talking with Conte's staff. Spurs take on Team K League in their opening pre-season fixture on Wednesday, but depending on the severity of Kulusevski's issue he may not feature in the game as a precaution.

The 22-year-old waved to fans as he walked down the stadium tunnel with a physio, removing his training top and vest. Should the Swede not be available for the match against Team K League this week, new signing Richarlison would likely play alongside Kane and Son in attack as Conte ramps up preparations ahead of a busy 2022/23 campaign.
