Have you ever wondered how your local estate compares monetarily with other areas across the city of Sunderland?
Communities across Wearside have been branded as 'cheap' or 'pricey' by presuming residents and visitors alike for what feels like an eternity, but it has only recently been revealed in concrete where the cheapest and most expensive areas of the city actually are.
A new tool by home sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since early 2016 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across all of the SR postcodes.

And you may actually be shocked to learn of some 'cheap streets' that you would have otherwise thought were a little more luxurious on first appearance.
West Park Road in Cleadon came up as the most expensive street to live on - with a grand total of three properties being sold in the timescale for an average of £1,050,000.
In fact, all but two of the top ten pricier areas retaining SR postcodes are located in and around Whitburn and Cleadon according to the study, with streets in Ashbrooke and Roker making up the rest.
On Moor Lane, six properties sold for an average of £728,583, with Underhill Road also seeing three properties sell for an average of £712,925.

On the flip side, most of the cheapest streets across the shared postcode turned out to be in Peterlee - with all but one in the top ten being located there. The exception in the top ten was Woods Terrace in Murton - which has seen three properties sold for a shockingly inexpensive average price of £25,483.
