An April baseball game during the day as part of a previously rained out contest involving a rebuilding team like the Detroit Tigers might not be the most attended event in the world.
But it’s still worth noting: The photos and videos from Tuesday’s game — for what it’s worth, the Tigers won both ends of the doubleheader and are on a five-game winning streak! — show a very empty Comerica Park are rough.
Attendance was listed as over 10,000 fans, but really: How many people were actually there on Tuesday? Not a lot! To quote Arrested Development: There are dozens of us! Dozens!
At the time of first pitch in yesterday's Tigers v Guardians game there were less than 200 people in attendance. Literally. pic.twitter.com/E6k4FGM3XX

I'll give $20 to whoever can count exactly how many people there were at first pitch of Tigers-Guardians today pic.twitter.com/C18WEVM5pY

Dozens of people at Guardians-Tigers game with 1st pitch at 39 degrees in 16-mph wind, the kind of weather I would only watch my kid in and actually bummed to miss one today in Dexter pic.twitter.com/8ooqF2Srty
