The three Arsenal players Edu must agree new contracts for after Gabriel Magalhaes extension

Arsenal have confirmed Gabriel Magalhaes has signed a new long-term deal at the Emirates Stadium that will see him remain at the club until 2027.

The Gunners had a busy summer transfer window after completing deals for Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner. The north London outfit have now turned their attentions to renewing a number of deals for key players at the club as they look to maintain the core group of Mikel Arteta's squad.

Bukayo Saka is attracting interest from Liverpool and Manchester City with the England international's current deal set to expire in 2024, despite Arsenal being confident of agreeing a long-term extension with the 21-year-old, football.london understands. Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba are also said to be on the club's list of players to agree new contracts with after both have impressed this season.

The Gunners are currently in a strong position to negotiate with their top stars as they sit top of the Premier League and have already qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds. With that being said, football.london takes a look at three Arsenal players technical director Edu must look to agree new deals for as soon as possible.

Bukayo Saka

Arsenal's most promising talent is continuing to draw interest from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and Liverpool. Saka has already hinted that his future may lie at the Emirates Stadium after he 'personally invested' in an executive box at the Gunners' home ground.

The 21-year-old has proved to be an influential player under Mikel Arteta, highlighted by his goal contributions in the recent wins against the Reds and north London rivals Tottenham. The Hale End graduate featured 38 times for Arteta's side in the Premier League last season, directly contributing towards 18 goals, showing his potential at such a young age with his best years still ahead of him.

Reports suggested Arsenal have tabled a £200,000-a-week contract offer for Saka to extend his stay in north London and remain confident that an agreement can be reached before the turn of the year.

William Saliba

William Saliba has impressed following his return to the Emirates Stadium after a successful loan spell with Marseille last term. The French defender signed for the Gunners back in 2017 but spent the last three seasons out on loan, developing his game and is now able to show why he is one of the most talented defenders in Europe.

Saliba's current deal is set to expire in 2024 but reports suggest Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the 21-year-old's situation in north London. The France international's performances have warranted an improved contract and the Gunners will be keen on tying Saliba down to a long-term deal following his amazing impact resulting him in becoming a fan-favourite.

Gabriel Martinelli

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has already hinted that he has made a decision over a potential contract extension at the Emirates Stadium amid reports that Premier League rivals Chelsea are keen on signing the Brazilian winger. Martinelli has registered six goal contributions in 14 appearances so far this term but his performances have shown just how talented he is, emphasised by his goal and assist against Liverpool earlier this month.

Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for the 21-year-old, highlighting him as a key threat before the Reds travelled to north London, and the German was proved to be right as Martinelli tormented Trent Alexander-Arnold and the Liverpool defence all game.

Martinelli has hinted he wants to stay at Arsenal in March, telling ESPN Brazil: "Arsenal is a giant team. If I can, I'll stay here all my life. I want to conquer things here and win titles with this wonderful crowd and my companions."
