The superb Swansea City player ratings as defenders colossal and Wolf proves his worth in Blackburn win

ANDY FISHER 8

Took the brave option at every opportunity and made a fine save to deny Ryan Giles in the first half. Under so much pressure in the second half but coped so well to keep a clean sheet.

BEN CABANGO 8

A demon in the air but was guilty of a few sloppy moments in possession. But the Welshman was an absolute colossus in the second half. Incredible display.

FLYNN DOWNES 8

Dropping into a deeper role, Downes made so many clearances to ease the pressure on Fisher. Typically composed on the ball every time Swansea played out from the back too. Super stuff.

RYAN MANNING 6

Good in the air and always willing to get forwards. Booked in the first half and then - despite going for the ball - shown a second yellow after the restart. A harsh but probably fair call.

CYRUS CHRISTIE 8

He showed so much composure when it was needed and put his body time and time again with blocks and tackles. What a shift. A tackling machine.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 6

Supporting the front two, Ntcham showed flashes in the first half but couldn't really find his groove. Withdrawn after the red card.

MATT GRIMES 8

The captain looked slick on the ball and had to do the dirty game so well after the sending off. Fine effort from the midfielder.

HANNES WOLF - Star Man 8

A tireless effort from the Austrian who impressed at left wing-back and ran himself ragged throughout. Some impressive lung-busting runs to ease the pressure on those behind him too. A truly astonishing effort.

JAMIE PATERSON 8

On his first Swans outing in almost two months, Paterson wasted no time in showing why he's been sorely missed. He was a constant thorn in Blackburn's side and put in a fine cross for Swansea's opener. Tireless effort.

JOEL PIROE 7

On his return to the starting line-up, the Dutchman linked up play nicely and - despite not having any sight of goal - benefitted from having the likes of Obafemi and Paterson around him. Had a shot blocked before being withdrawn.

MICHAEL OBAFEMI 7

In the right place to head home his second goal of the campaign and came close to notching an assist for Paterson soon after. Top work rate to press from the front. A good all round display before being subbed.

Subs

Ryan Bennett (for Obafemi) - Slotted into the middle of Swansea's defence and added a physical presence to help deal with Blackburn's direct play. Outstanding effort. 7

Korey Smith (for Ntcham) - A couple of sloppy moments after coming on but he helped to see out the win. 6

Joel Latibeaudiere (for Piroe) - Did a great job to help Swansea against wave after wave of Rovers attacks. 7
