The beauty of Glasgow is not only having all the amenities of a modern city on your doorstep, but also the fact that no matter where you are you're never too far from some form of greenery.
However, should you be wanting to make the most of the summer weather, then, of course, you'll want to head to a beach and thankfully, Glasgow isn't too far from many of those either.

Also, it's home to some great walking trails and picnic spots making it ideal for a wander when the weather is good, and great for energetic pets.
While the nearby village of Balmaha, which was recently named one of the top trending travel destinations for the UK by Tripadvisor, is the place to go for a refuel with the Oak Tree Inn renowned for its country pub fare and wonderful outdoor terrace.

As always please respect your surroundings and remember to leave no trace of your stay at this beautiful beach.
