Work is underway on the 47th piece of street art in Beeston which has 'playful elements' to it.
The artwork has been commissioned by the Beeston Royal British Legion and is located at RBL’s club in Hall Croft, just off Chilwell Road, where recently completed artwork adorns walls.
The latest piece will feature poppies and bees.
Street artist Anna Wheelhouse, who is behind the project, said: ‘‘This commission is both an honour to undertake and provides playful elements as bees intermingle emanating from the Beeston Civic beehive to take flight across the mural.’’
Beeston Civic Society executive member Mervyn Brown said: “This sumptuous design signifies hope for a world without conflict. The bees provide a local dimension and sense of place which we can all take pride in.”
Ms Wheelhouse is also the artist behind the mural called The Power of Motherhood, which was created for the Snuggles and Kisses baby clothing store in Chilwell Road.
Beeston's street art has been recognised both nationally and internationally.
