It has been a long time coming but Manchester United are finally making their mark in the summer transfer window.
Erik ten Hag's side expect to finalise the transfer of Tyrell Malacia "in the coming days" after overcoming a hurdle with his representation and the club have an agreement in principle to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona.
United have also made a €43million (£37m) offer for versatile Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez as Ten Hag looks to solidify the backline this summer.

The club are already moving on to other targets in the transfer window as they wait to finalise their first signings of the summer with Ajax forward Antony and free agent Christian Eriksen also on their radar.
Supporters are getting excited about the prospect of the new arrivals at Old Trafford and they could soon be getting in line to buy new shirts with the summer signings' names printed on the back.
But what shirt numbers could they take? MEN Sport look at the ones available to any new summer recruit.
6 - The shirt number is free having been worn by Paul Pogba for the past six seasons. It has also been famously donned by Gary Pallister, Wes Brown and Rio Ferdinand in his first season.
8 - Juan Mata's exit at the end of the season has made this popular shirt number available too. A new signing might not get a chance to choose it though, with Bruno Fernandes having already indicated he would love to have it.
12 - This number has been available for a while now, last being worn by Chris Smalling before his exit to Roma.
13 - A shirt number typically worn by back-up goalkeepers with Lee Grant and Anders Lindegaard the two most recent to wear it. It was worn for seven years by Ji-sung Park.
14 - Another number that has become available after a summer departure. Jesse Lingard wore it for six years having inherited it from Javier Hernandez.
18 - As mentioned above. This one is not free yet but could be if Fernandes does indeed take the No.8 shirt he has had his eyes on for a while now.
21 - Available after being worn by Edinson Cavani for one season. He inherited it from Daniel James. It has been donned by Ander Herrera, Rafael da Silva and Diego Forlan previously.
24 - Available since Timothy Fosu-Mensah left the club. Famously worn by technical director Darren Fletcher previously.
26 - This one is free for a season following Dean Henderson's loan move to Nottingham Forest.
31, 32 - All available now that Nemanja Matic has vacated the No.31 jersey after his contract expired at the end of the season.
40, 45 - Most squad numbers in this category are occupied by academy youngsters.
50 - 99 - There is no senior squad player with a number beyond 50 after Alejandro Garnacho switched his to No.49 this summer. Some of these numbers will be assigned to youth team players when they play in the EFL Trophy next season.
