A terraced house in Bolton has flown off the market within days of being put up for sale. The two-bed property on Wigan Road was listed on Rightmove on January 19 and attracted an overwhelming amount of attention from househunters.
The property was marketed by The Purple Property Shop who cover Bolton and Bury, and was advertised as accepting offers of more than £70,000. Within the first hour of listing it for sale, the estate agents said that it received 20 viewing requests and and from then on they received an influx of interest.
After just days of being 'inundated' with enquiries, the Bolton-based estate agents eventually had to state that the property was 'fully booked for viewings' and decline any further requests for viewings.

The mid terrace property was listed as a 'renovation project' ideal for investors and first-time buyers.
Although in need of a full facelift throughout, the house has heaps of potential. In addition to its two-up two-down layout, it also boasts two bathrooms, a front and back garden, an outbuilding at the rear and a loft conversion on the top floor.
As well as its cheap asking price, the home was also being sold with the benefit of no chain which is often attractive to house hunters looking for a quick move.
Sally Jones, director of sales and lettings at The Purple Property Shop said: "We have been inundated with enquiries regarding this particular property as it is being marketed below market value due to its current condition.
"Properties of this type on Wigan Road in reasonable condition would fetch more than this is being advertised for, however this property needs a significant amount of improvement work.
"Within the first hour of marketing this property we received over 20 requests to view it and to date have received lots more enquiries."
The estate agents said that the house was particularly popular with investors and first-time buyers.
"We are finding that there is significant appetite from property investors who are looking for terraced properties and apartments to add to their portfolio," Sally said.
"In addition, there is significant demand from first time buyers who are eager to get on the property ladder."
As of February 1, the property has now been sold 'over' the initial asking price, subject to contract.
"The seller is very happy with the sale as he achieved over the asking price," Sally added.
"This is a reflection of the current market particularly for properties that would make a good purchase for either a first time buyer or an investor."
