As fashion editor I'm frequently asked which brand I recommend for quality wardrobe staples. My answer is always ME+EM, and after just one purchase, you'll understand the appeal too.
In the fifteen years since launching, ME+EM has fast become one of my favourite British clothing brands, and I'm not alone - celebrities such as Amanda Holden, Katie Holmes and Trinny Woodall are all fans. Several members of the Royal Family are int he club too! Kate Middleton, Duchess Sophie and Queen Camilla have all got ME+EM in common.
It's a go-to for pieces like floral dresses, statement blouses and trousers that are tailored to perfection. Plus if you are working on a year-round capsule wardrobe then these sale items should definitely be on your radar - thank us later.
The epitome of Quiet Luxury, the clothing items may cost slightly more than you’d usually spend, but there’s a real focus on quality, and as the founder and CEO Clare Hornby calls it, ‘'wear-forever appeal'’.
ME+EM sale: Up to 70% off
With up to 70% off in the ME+EM sale at the moment, now’s the time to invest. The sale is online only, plus you can shop by category and size to make life easier. Not that we needed any more excuses to get stuck in!
ME+EM sale: dresses and jumpsuits
The print on this dress is stunning, and the ruched detail makes it one of the most stylish dress to hide a tummy. There's a maxi dress in the same print, and a skirt too. The keyhole cut out is a nice detail, and the long sleeves are super flattering.
A versatile jumpsuit would look great throughout all seasons. This utility-inspired style has a tie belt to nip you it at the waist, and you could dress it up with heels, or keep it casual with your most comfortable trainers.
Both Elizabeth Day and Sara Davies have worn this colour pop dress, which in our opinion is one of the best wedding guest dresses. The black and mint green versions are also in the sale, and the ruched detailing is very Victoria Beckham.
ME+EM sale: tops
Looking for date night outfits? This 100% silk top is spot on. The embellished buttons add a touch of luxury, and it would look best with your hair up to show off the high neckline.
We've seen a lot of sleek waistcoats in the last year or so, but this has to be top of the wishlist. There's an elasticated panel at the back so it will perfectly, plus the herringbone fabric is a nice nod to the heritage trend that's huge at the moment.
The peplum frill of this long sleeve top will give you an hourglass silhouette and in classic black, will work with any trousers or skirts. Sizes are selling fast, so don't miss out on a 70% reduction.
ME+EM sale: jackets and coats
When it comes to making the most of the ME+EM sale, I say go big or go home. You'll save a whopping £750 on this shearling coat, with its black and chocolate brown patchwork design. It's seriously dreamy.
Claudia Winkleman wore this exact white coat - so you can imagine how surprised we were to see it turn up in the sale! The boucle fabric and military-style buttons make this a complete classic. There's a long way to go until the weather warms up!
Double denim is one of the key denim trends for 2025, and the frayed hemline of this overshirt gives this the edge. Layer it over pretty floral dresses in the summer, or to add a more casual feel to tailored trousers.
ME+EM sale: knitwear
Emma Willis is a fan of this chic crochet knit, which will work all year round in your wardrobe. Pair it with everything from the best jeans for your body type to sharply tailored trousers.
The detachable snood neckline makes this a versatile addition to your best wool jumpers collection. It's made from 54% Merino Wool, 23% Cashmere and 23% Silk, and it's also available in khaki.
Spring is all about layers, and this is going to work well with shirts, dresses and T-shirts. Add this Philips fabric shaver to your Amazon basket to tackle any light pilling that might occur.
ME+EM sale: trousers
Leather trousers might be a bit of an investment, but they really will go a long way in your wardrobe. Pair these with a t-shirt and blazer for an ideal ensemble for drinks with the girls.
Wide leg jeans have overtaken skinny jeans lately, and the drawstring waist and distinctive hem really elevates this particular pair. The relaxed fit makes them some of the most comfortable jeans you can buy.
Sporty tailoring is ME+EM’s forte, and these pinstripe beauties feature a chambray blue trim that really pops. Say hello to your new workwear obsession.
ME+EM sale: shoes
These gold heels have got occasionwear written all over them. Between the metallic finish, slingback style and chisel toe shape, they're a great way to revamp your favourite little black dress.
Is there anything chicer than a leather loafer? Not only are they super comfortable and therefore a treat for your feet, they'll look so stylish with jeans and a blazer. Every wardrobe deserves these off-white shoes.
Retro styles are right up there with the biggest trainer trends for 2025, and these high tops offer plenty of padding for comfort and support. The ecru colour is that bit more practical than box fresh white.
Top shopping tips
My top tip when shopping sales is to think beyond the season you’re in, which is a bit easier when the British weather can't quite make up its mind. There really is a great range of options, from stylish dresses to hide a tummy for the summer, to lightweight knitwear which will help with your wardrobe transition throughout the seasons. Not only are the clothing options fantastic, but they have a range of shoes, such as slingbacks that will be a no-brainer when you're figuring out how to style bootcut jeans.
But be warned, with prices slashed, much like with the Zara sale, our favourite finds are unlikely to be in stock for long, and the size options may be limited.
FAQs
Can you return ME+EM in store?
Sale items cannot be returned to store, they must be sent back via ME+EM's online returns process.
Does ME+EM have a Black Friday sale?
Last year ME+EM sent an email to customers stating that they wouldn't be taking part in Black Friday sales, explaining: "We don't believe in fast fashion. We don't rush when it comes to making our clothes, and we don't want you to rush when it comes to shopping them.
"We believe in making considered investment pieces that make you feel confident, that we know you'll wear constantly and that will last for years to come.
"That's why, rather than discounting this Black Friday, we will be making a donation to Women for Women International."
