The six clubs interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang transfer to end Arsenal nightmare

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's nightmare at Arsenal could come to an end over the next seven days.

The January transfer window is now in its latter stages and the 32-year-old continues to be strongly linked with an exit from the Gunners after losing the captaincy at the north London club last month following a discipline problem.

Aubameyang has not played for Arsenal's first-team since and football.london understands that the ex-Borussia Dortmund forward is no longer part of Mikel Arteta's plans.

There have been offers from Al Hilal and Al Nassr - two Saudi clubs - but it is thought that Aubameyang would rather stay in Europe for the time being.

Who's interested in Aubameyang?

According to a report from the Telegraph, there are six clubs with an interest in signing Aubameyang before the end of the month, but his wages are likely to cause an issue.

AC Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Newcastle United and Barcelona are all said to have expressed an interest in the Gabon international, but the amount he earns will be something any potential suitor will have to consider.

Also, Arsenal would reportedly prefer a permanent move for Aubameyang, while some of these aforementioned interested parties would rather it be on an initial loan basis, which would see Arsenal having to part-fund the striker's wages.

What about incomings?

Aubameyang could well be on his way out, but will Arsenal manage to get anyone through the door before next week's transfer deadline?

football.london understands that the Gunners have not yet heard back from the representatives of Dusan Vlahovic, with a move this month now looking very unlikely.

The 21-year-old is of interest to Arsenal, who are determined to bring in a new striker, partly to do with the situation of Aubameyang.

With a move for Vlahovic now unlikely, the north London club are exploring other options with Alexander Isak and Jonathan David both being looked at.

Arsenal also want to complete the loan signing of Arthur Melo over the next few days, but Juventus are only prepared to sanction an 18-month deal with an option to buy as part of the contract.

Youri Tielemans of Leicester City is another midfielder being looked at by the Gunners, with the Belgium international very much of interest to Arteta and the club's board.
