The Simpsons' spooky knack for predicting the future continued following the arrest of Donald Trump and the excitement around the Barbie Movie.
As the world focuses on Trump becoming the first former US president to be arrested on the same day the Barbie Movie trailer was released, many looked through the archives of the popular animation to find yet another correct prediction.
Trump was formally charged with a crime this week, making him the first ever former president to be dealt with in this manner.
He was photographed in court for his first formal hearing on Tuesday after a grand jury indicted him on 34 felony charges for falsifying business records.
On the same day, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were seen in the trailer for the eagerly anticipated Barbie film, which features a star-studded cast which also includes Dua Lipa, Will Ferrell and Dame Hellen Mirren.
However, amongst all the latest goings-on, fans went back as far as 1994 to see long-running series The Simpson seemingly predict the future yet again.
In an episode called Lisa vs Malibu Stacy, Lisa desperately tries to make the toy's creators produce a toy which sends out a more feminist message to young girls.
As newsreader Kent Brockman focuses on the story at the request of his younger daughter, The Simpsons family are seen watching the broadcast from their sofa.
The anchor says: "Though it was unusual to spend 28 minutes reporting on a doll, this reporter found it impossible to stop talking. It’s just really fascinating news folks. Good night."
And it's his quick side note before the news ends that has fans stunned. He frantically announces the president has been arrested before the report ends.
While the circumstances are slightly different to real-life goings-on - Trump isn't the current president and hasn't been arrested for murder - people couldn't believe the parallels they were seeing.
One Twitter user commented alongside a screenshot of the episode in question: "This is literally the news today."
Another added: "Not gonna lie this is the wildest Simpsons prediction yet."
And a third gasped: "Someone in The Simpsons writers room has to be a prophet because HOW."
It follows news earlier in the week that Cypress Hill are set to make a comeback performance with the London Symphony Orchestra almost three decades after the animation had joked about the collaboration.
They had previously correctly predicted Trump would become president in the first place, while even accurate details of the global coronavirus pandemic were predicted by creator Matt Groening and the team almost 30 years ago - when a deadly virus came over to Springfield from Asia.
