The majority of West Ham United’s players currently out on loan will still be in action during the World Cup break.
Across the lower leagues of English football, as well as the second division of Danish football and the top flights in Italy and Turkey, the Hammers have ten players out on loan and seven of them will be in action for their clubs during the break.
While the Hammers have to wait until Boxing Day’s trip to Premier League leaders Arsenal for a return to competitive action, seven of the players out on loan will be back in action well before Christmas.

The Championship in England returns to action in full on December 10 following a four-week break, although Sunderland are playing Millwall a week earlier. That means that winger Armstrong Okoflex (Swansea City) and left-back Manny Longelo (Birmingham City) will be back in action for their respective loan clubs.
Below the Championship, where a lot of West Ham’s players out on loan are, have not had a break during the current World Cup in Qatar. In League One, goalkeeper Joseph Anang (Derby County), forward Mipo Odubeko (Port Vale) have not seen their sides have breaks, while winger Daniel Chesters (Colchester United) and forward Thierry Nevers have had the same in League Two.
West Ham also have a young goalkeeper out on loan - Jacob Knightbride - in non-league with Harrow Borough who have also not had a break during the World Cup.
Goalkeeper Nathan Trott is currently out in Denmark with Vejle, with their second tier going on an extended winter break. Ending at the same time as the English Premier League, the Danish first division does not return until February 11.
The one West Ham loanee at the World Cup is Croatia forward Nikola Vlasic , who is on loan in Italy’s Serie A with Torino. He will return to league action on January 4, just over a week after the Premier League do.
Left-back Arthur Masuaku is the only other player currently away from West Ham on loan with Besiktas in Turkey. With Christmas not being celebrated in Turkey, they are returning to league action on Christmas Day.
