I've been reporting on iPad deals over five Black Fridays now, and I've not seen a range of record-low prices on all the main iPads before today! For me, the best of the bunch is the latest iPad (10th Gen), down from $349 to $259 at Amazon. I think this is the best option for most people, and has a lovely 10.9-inch display, touch ID and a good camera in the landscape bezel (perfect for video chat).
In the UK, that deal looks like this: down from £499 to £439 at Amazon.
I've been running this live hub of all the best iPad Black Friday deals since last week, and I've definitely seen a shift in the seriousness of iPad deals. Everything has been reduced from last week. But will these prices keep on going down tomorrow and on to Black Friday weekend? Watch this space!
Be sure to check out our list of the iPad generations to make sure you're getting the iPad best suited to your needs. And if you're a digital artist, I suggest having a look at our guide to the best iPads for drawing too.

Hello iPad deals hunters! we've put together this live hub of iPad deals because we've been seeing a increasing number of excellent Black Friday iPad deals trickle in already.
Top of my list right now is the iPad Air (M2, 2024) down from $699 to $599. It's an amazing tablet, and I loved it when I had a play on it earlier in the year.
Amazon US has started its official Black Friday sale today. And although, there are no iPad deals specifically flagged as being part of Black Friday, there are savings on pretty much every model – and that includes even the brand-new 7th generation iPad mini, which was only released on 23 October.
We gave the updated mini a sterling review, praising the performance of the A17 Pro chip and the drawing experience with Apple Pencil Pro.
- New 2024 iPad mini: was $499 now $449.99 at Amazon US
Amazon doesn't have the best Black Friday iPad deal on every model though. For the latest iPad Pro 13, the best price is at Best Buy, where there's $200 off. This is the lowest price we've seen for the larger version of this year's M4-chipped tablet.
-
iPad Pro 13 (M4, 2024): was
$1,299now $1,099 at Best Buy
But whether it's at Amazon, Best Buy or B&H Photo, the great news is that almost all of the Black Friday iPad deals we've flagged above either match of beat the best previous prices we've seen.
And although actual Black Friday is still a week away, some of these prices are probably already about as low as they can go – particularly Best Buy's offer of the iPad 9 for $199. It's hard to imagine an iPad much cheaper than this, even if it is a 2021 model with only 64B of storage space.
-
iPad 9th gen: was
$329now $199 at Best Buy
The one exception is the newer iPad 10, which was released in 2022. Amazon and Best Buy both have it for $279. That's good $70, or 20%, off. But we did very briefly see this tablet $30 cheaper at $249 during Amazon Prime Day in October.
That deal was only for Amazon Prime members, so it may not get repeated, but this is the only iPad that's not currently at the lowest price on record.
If you're on the lookout for a laptop as well as a tablet, we've just published our roundup of the best laptop deals in the Amazon Black Friday sale. There's good news for Apple fans because there are a couple of great MacBook deals in there, including a record low price on this year's M3 MacBook Air.
-
MacBook Air 13 (M3, 2024, 16GB RAM): was
$1,099now $849 at Amazon
I'm sure you know exactly what iPad you want to get this Black Friday, and exactly what you're going to use it for... but just in case you're a digital artist who needs some more input on the topic, check out our article on the best iPads for Procreate – the amazing digital art software.
Ultimately, we believe that the M2 iPad Air is the best choice, but there are different use cases so it's well worth a look.
Our top pick, the iPad Air (M2) is currently on sale from £599 to £559 at Amazon.
So, naming no names, I've seen articles stating that the new M4-chipped iPad Pro, 11-inch, is on sale, down from $1,199 to $969 over at Amazon.
The only problem with that, as you'll see if you follow that link above, is that the deal doesn't exist! I've been looking at the price of iPads over at Amazon like a hawk all day, and I haven't yet seen such a deal on that model.
I guess my point is, there are many articles out there claiming great deals that may not actually exist, all with the aim of getting you to a retail site and hopefully you buy something there anyway. We don't do that on Creative Bloq, and will only put links to deals that exist at time of going live.
That's not to say there are no iPad Pro deals at Amazon. Many configurations are out of stock. Those that are in stock have discounts, but they're not huge. The 13-inch tablet has $100 off for the 1TB configuration with the new nano-textured display.
And there's $200 of a textured glass 1TB iPad Pro 11. That's now $1,499.
The best price for the basic 256GB configuration with standard display remains $1,299 $1,099 at Best Buy – $200 off. B&H Photo has $100 off various configurations.
At the extreme other end of the spectrum, there's no stock on the 9th-gen basic iPad at Amazon either. That's not so surprising given that this is tablet from 2021 that Apple no longer makes, but Best Buy clearly still has some units to shift – it's running a record low price of $199.
-
9th gen iPad: was
$329.99now $199.99 at Best Buy
If you're looking for iPad accessories. Apple's most advanced inner-ear earphones, the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro are back down to their cheapest price on record: $169 at both Amazon and Best buy. That's a saving of $80 – almost a third off.
Amazon's current discount on the iPad mini might seem like a mini deal, but this tablet was only released this month. You can read our recent review to see why we rate it so highly.
-
iPad mini (A17 Pro, 2024): was
$499now $449 at Amazon
Just a quick update to confirm that the prices listed above are all still correct at the time of writing. That includes record low prices pretty much across the entire iPad range in the US. The one exception is the iPad 10, which briefly fell to $349 during Amazon Prime Day in October, but that was a members-only deal.
Highlights include this year's M4 iPad Pro 13 reduced by $200 at Best Buyand $100 off the M2 iPad Air at Amazon.

New Black Friday iPad Pro deals incoming from Amazon!
Amazon's now matching Best Buy's deal with $200 off the 13-inch iPad Pro M4.
And even better news, it's now beating Best Buy and B&H Photo on the 11-inch model, with $150 off. You'll need to click the coupon box below the product description to apply the additional $50 saving to get the tablet for $849 – the cheapest price on record.
These are this year's Pros with the new M4 chip and now with OLED displays and support for Apple Pencil Pro.

iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024):
$999$849 at Amazon
Good morning. I'm online in the UK to check all the iPad offers on page and add new ones I spot! We wouldn't want you to miss out so we'll be checking in throughout today to keep up to date with what's been happening. So hold on while I do just that.
We are big fans of the mini on CB. It’s a surprisingly powerful creative tool and it has a great discount. See all about it above.
Right! Here we are in the official Black Friday Week, and things have popped off with a bang!
It seems like Amazon and Best Buy in particular have released some excellent deals over the weekend / early this Monday morning, which on the whole is a great sign for iPad deals this week. I'll get into my favourite in a minute, but first I wanted to highlight some Amazon shenanigans first...
Although Amazon has on the whole bettered their iPad deals from last week today, there are two cases at odds with this. Both the iPad mini and the iPad Pro 11 (M4, 2024) have increased prices from the weekend – the former is up by $50 and the latter is up by $10. But why? I couldn't possibly say, but I do suspect that both these models will go back to last week's price this Friday. I'll report if I see otherwise, but maybe it's worth holding off buying these models until they reach their previous Black Friday deals prices again.
Right, so what are my top picks of the iPad Black Friday deals today?
I've got two iPads in mind, and I've got two very specific users in mind for them as well.
The first is the 9th Gen iPad, currently down to just $199 over at Best Buy. I don't think there's a better tab for this price out there, and it's ideal for being the house tab, passed from hands to hands, used to browse, stream and answer emails on. This is just great value!
And the second is the iPad Air (11-inch, M2). This is a big step up from the above option, with its M2 chip making it super snappy when streaming and browsing, and allowing it to be used effectively as a digital art tab. And that's currently under $500 (down $100). When I used this earlier in the year, it was the most enjoyable iPad that I've ever used.
Warning! Be sure you're getting the iPad that you need this Black Friday, and not just that you really, really want.
Why do I say this? Because with the latest M4 iPad Pro release, the options for buyers runs from cheap and cheerful iPad (9th Gen – one of my faves (see previous post)), all the way to over-powered, professional tablet that is really only aimed at video editors that want to take their workflow on the move.
The cheapest you can get the smaller iPad Pro is $899 right now, but that will be overkill for 80% off people that get it. How do I know? I've used both the M4 Pro and the recent M2 Air, and for my purposes, the Air is just a better experience (in real life and in my bank account.) I stream, I play some mobile games, and I browse, and the Air (the other of my top faves) does all that effortlessly, in a light, beautifully designed chassis. And for a fraction of the price of the Pro ($599 $499 at Amazon)
If you're a digital artist and you're looking for a new iPad, I'd also consider getting an Apple Pencil. But which one? Let's break down what Pencil works on what iPad (and the current best deals on them):
Apple Pencil (USB-C) – $79 $69 at Amazon, works with:
- iPad Pro 11-inch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Gen)
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th Gens)
- iPad Air 11-inch (M2)
- iPad Air 13-inch (M2)
- iPad Air (4th or 5th Gen)
- iPad (10th Gen)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro)
- iPad mini (6th Gen)
Apple Pencil Pro – $129 $79 at Amazon, works with:
- iPad Pro 13-inch (M4)
- iPad Pro 11-inch (M4)
- iPad Air 13-inch (M2)
- iPad Air 11-inch (M2)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro)
Following on from the guide to which Apple Pencil goes with what iPad... it'd also be good for you to know what iPads there actually are!
Our guide to the iPad generations covers all the most recent releases, but also details the previous iterations that we still provide great value for different users... you may be getting sick of me going on about the 9th Gen iPad, especially when there's a 10th Gen version out there. But the reason is, the 9th Gen was the last no frills Apple tab that is represented in the excellent value it's selling for today. It's the same with the previous version of the Pro (less so with the mini and the Air, as they continue to just be excellent in all ways).
I've got a long haul flight coming up in Jan, and I'm slightly anxious about it. Not because of the safety or anything like that. I'm slightly worried about the entertainment! It's been a while, but I don't think the seat screens have grown in the last few years, and I'm not crazy about watching loads of films on a teen y screen... and that is one of the many uses of iPads. That's why I'm seriously considering buying either the iPad 10 (A14 chip, 2023), which is down from $349to $279.99 at Amazon; or going for the more powerful iPad Air 11 (M2, 2024), which is down from $599 to $499 at Amazon.
I'm leaning towards the Air, and making that my main tablet for the next few years!
Right! Back to deals hunting. And to give you the big picture: things are looking pretty good for iPad Black Friday deals.
I've found five deals in particular that have each iPad at all-time low prices. They're all detailed above, and I'll be making sure that I note any changes, as and when they happen.
The big question is: will these deals get better on the official Black Friday weekend? I think it's possible for some. But for other deals like the 9th Gen iPad, which is currently down to just $199 over at Best Buy, I doubt very much this will go lower (the people at BB have to make some money on each sell, after all).
If you're a digital artist working on an iPad, you'll no doubt be aware of Procreate, and if you work in 3D, you'll know Procreate Dreams. They're both some of our favourite digital art softwares out there.
You'll also be happy to know that Procreate Dreams just got a nod for Best iPad App of the year at the Apple App Store App of the Year awards.
And we can see why. We gave it a rare 5/5 stars review last year when it came out. So, if you get the iPad deal you're looking for, and you're willing to spend $19.99 / £19.99 on it, I highly recommend you getting the app and having a play.
I've actually gone down a bit of a rabbit hole thinking about Procreate and iPads. We love this partnership, and we've actually put together a list of the best iPads for Procreate. You may think it was the all-powerful iPad Pro. But in fact, we thought that was a little overkill.
We actually recommend the excellent iPad Air (M2, 2024), which is currently down from $699 to $599 over at Amazon.
OK, final thoughts on Procreate on iPads for the moment... have you checked out our list of the 20 best Procreate tutorials? Not to brag, but it's pretty awesome – and totally free. We've spoken to several excellent artists who use the software, and we cover tips that range from how to make your character art pop, all the way to how to speed up your workflow with VR.
Creative Bloq iPad Health Warning: use protection!
I'm covering some pretty expensive tablets here, and it would suck if you got your lovely new iPad only to find a mark or scratch on it soon after. That's where really good iPad screen protectors come in... and a lot of them aren't just about keeping your Apple tablet pristine.
The best ones, like Astropad's Rock, Paper, Pencil, offer a matte surface that's designed to offer a 'bite' for digital artists using styluses. It feels like you're doing traditional art, while keeping your tablet sparkly and new. Genius!
Astropad's Rock, Paper, Pencil is currently down from $43.99 to $35.99 over at Amazon.
I know you're here for the iPad deals... but on the off chance that none of the iPad deals tickle your fancy, I've got some other options for you... have a look at our list of the best iPad alternatives.
I know. This is sacrilege! But if nothing else, it's a good chance to compare and contrast what the competiton has to offer, and in what ways it falls short.
For my money, the best iPad alternative that runs Android, is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which currently have a nice $200 off over at Samsung... OK, I'll get back to iPads now :)
It irks me that Apple don't give people the Magic Keyboard with every iPad purchase, because they're just so damn good! I've got one for my Pro, and it just gives it a totally new lease of life – and I really like my iPad as a laptop!
These are the best iPad Magic Keyboard deals I can find:
- Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11-inch & iPad Air: $299 $239.99 at Walmart
- Magic Keyboard Portfolio for iPad 10: $249 $199 at Best Buy
I'm breaking for lunch now, but will be back in an hour or so with more iPad deals and iPad-related fun...
UPDATE: after having a good look, all the deals above are still the best deals in both the US and UK. They're all still live, and they're all unchanged since earlier today.
I'll be keeping this live hub going tomorrow and all through Black Friday weekend, and I'll update as and when things change. But for now – if you want an iPad right now, the above deals are the best I can find.
