Three Scottish cities have been listed among the best places for tourists to visit in the UK next year.
The Condé Nast Traveler has put together the list which outlined the UK locations that offer the best hotels, food and events.
Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness were all considered to be locations that are worth visiting in 2023, according to the editors of the publication.
Each city was considered to offer a diverse experience for visitors, earning the hotspots locations on the list - which recommended top locations in no specific order.
Glasgow was hailed for its wide range of events taking place next year; from the Celtic Connections festival to the UCI Cycling World Championships.
It was also considered to have an excellent food and drink culture, with the publication writing: "There’s been a lot of talk in recent times about Glasgow’s supercharged food-and-drink scene—Michelin stars seem to be shooting all over the place and AA rosettes popping up like, well, roses."
Edinburgh was, of course, listed with the publication calling its annual Fringe festival a "performer's paradise."
However, they added that: "Outside of the Fringe, the Scottish capital consistently lures in visitors for its famously picturesque streets, world-renowned historical hotspots, and ever-expanding food and drink scene."
The travel experts recommended that visitors try out the W Edinburgh hotel or the new Gleneagles Townhouse which is located in Edinburgh’s New Town.
The publication said that despite rural perceptions of the north of Scotland, Inverness offered many sights and things to do.
It stated: "In Inverness itself, along the river, at pink-sandstone Inverness Castle, an era-defining regeneration project that began in 2020 is transforming the fortress—until it reopens, the views from the ramparts unspool across the city to where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth."
They said that the spring opening of the world’s first rewilding centre west of Loch Ness in nearby Glenmoriston is an event worth attending for nature lovers.
And in terms of hotels, the Condé Nast Traveler recommended family-run Newhall Mains on the Black Isle peninsula and Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts located in Dornoch,
