Alison Hammond was reunited with long-time friend Dwayne Johnson on This Morning on Tuesday, as the pair discussed his new movie Black Adam.
Hammond, 47, and ‘The Rock’ Johnson, 50, famously spoofed a marriage on This Morning back in 2017 in a hilarious interview, which has since garnered 1.3 million views on YouTube.
Johnson was back to talk with Hammond as he promoted his latest film in which he plays DC superhero Black Adam, and began his chat by saying: “Good morning to my former ex wife Alison…”, referencing their love affair five years ago.
The pair continued to joke about being each other’s other half throughout their discussion until their time together came to end, to the disappointment of them both.
Before saying goodbye though, Johnson raised his hand as he asked his publicists off screen if he could offer some special words to Alison.
They agreed, and Dwayne said: “I just want to say this really quickly, Alison, I want to tell you, we’ve known each other for a long time - I’m so happy for you.
“I know you’ve been doing so great, you’ve been nominated for all these National TV Awards, you’ve been incredible so ‘mwah’. Congratulations! We’ve got to get married again!”
Hammond appeared taken aback by Johnson’s praise as she uttered the word “Aww” in response.
Co-host Dermot O’Leary, who was there during the sweet exchange from Johnson, said to Hammond after the break: “Can we just have a moment? ‘I’ve known you for a long time’...”
“But we have known each other quite a while,” said Hammond.
O’Leary exclaimed: “Dwayne Johnson said that to you! What a great moment that was. Wasn’t it great?”
Looking very happy with herself, Alison replied: “It was so exciting!”
