A draw or a defeat against Poland means they will finish at the bottom of the group. So, in a nutshell, they must beat Poland to avoid relegation into League B.
After Poland, when do Wales play next?
Rob Page's men have a two-month wait until their next fixture, although it's a significant one. Wales will face the United States of America in their first World Cup group stage match on Monday, November 21.
They then take on Iran four days later before rounding off the group phase against England on November 29. All three matches will be played at the 40,000-seater Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
