The Repair Shop star Will Kirk may be a pro at fixing furniture on TV, but at home, it’s a different story—at least according to his wife, Polly Snowdon. The popular craftsman has admitted that his never-ending list of home repairs has led to some good-natured frustration from Polly, who has jokingly threatened to call in a carpenter to get the job done.
In a recent interview, Will revealed that his wife has been keeping tabs on all the unfinished DIY projects piling up in their new family home. “She says to me, ‘Will, when are you going to sand the bloody floor in the front room?’” he laughed. “And then I’ve got to do stuff in the bathroom, and then there’s the kitchen. It’s never-ending.”
Polly even suggested hiring outside help, much to Will’s horror. “My wife did say, ‘You know if you can’t sand the floor and you’re not happy with it, we can always get someone in?’ And I said, ‘No way! No way! Not in this house!’” he joked, admitting that balancing home improvements with family life has been tough. “It is hard, especially with two children as well, but I absolutely love it.”
The couple recently moved from Wandsworth, London, to the countryside in Surrey, with Will sharing a glimpse of his new rural lifestyle on Instagram in November. Posting a photo of himself in a wax jacket and flat cap, he captioned it: “Adjusting to life in the country.”
Will and Polly are proud parents of two young children, though they have chosen to keep their names private. They welcomed their daughter in July 2022 and celebrated the arrival of their baby boy in October last year. Announcing the news at the time, Will posted a heartwarming message: “Three become four. I’m very proud of my lovely wife for the last nine months. Mum and baby doing well, including an incredibly excited big sister #babyboy.
