The Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates are two of the worst franchises in baseball, which made what happened in their series finale on Sunday even more perfect – the Reds didn’t give up a hit to the Pirates but still lost the game, 1-0.
For real. That happened.
Hunter Greene went 7 1/3 innings without giving up a hit but the Pirates scored their lone rune in the bottom of the eighth inning after three walks and fielder’s choice.
Pittsburgh then sent the Reds – who had four hits in the game – down in order in the ninth to secure the win even though THEY DIDN’T HAVE A SINGLE HIT IN THE GAME.
