The Great British Bake Off presenter and comedian Matt Lucas has wowed fans with his amazing weight loss transformation over the last two years.
Despite being surrounded by sweet treats and baked good on the popular Channel 4 baking show, the 48-year-old writer and actor has managed to shed the pounds in lockdown - while many of us saw our waistlines expand - and take control of unhealthy habits and change his body and lifestyle for the better.

Having initially gained weight during the pandemic, before his impressive transformation, Matt previously said: "The one thing I need to do is get fitter. I have put on a little bit of weight, that's my next challenge to do a bit more exercise. I might have to make a game of it when I go out and exercise to stay out of people's way. I don't have a garden so I have to find a way to do that."
Speaking to Lorraine on her ITV show last year, the Little Britain star, who now sports a svelte figure, told her his main motivation for whipping himself into shape.
Being asked by the 62-year-old talk show host: "How on Earth though, have you been in lockdown and working on Bake Off and you've lost tonnes of weight?" Matt responded: "I've lost some weight, I needed to take the edge off, because I put on a lot of weight in lockdown," Matt said. "I just had to do something about it."
Lorraine replied: "Yes, just not eat as much and move around a wee bit more, that’s kind of what you have to do..."
To which the actor, who has recently appeared on the latest series of Who Do You Think You Are on which he discovered a unique connection to Anne Frank, added: "I've still got a bit of a tum, I've got a little bit of a tum, there's still a bit going on here. I'm not a skinny minnie."
And while Matt doesn't have a garden in which he can workout, what he does have is a housemate, Jamie Bernard, whose job no doubt has helped him in reaching his fitness goals.
According to The Mirror, Matt said in an Instagram video previously: "My housemate Jamie is a personal trainer extraordinaire."
Going by Positive Mind PT, Jamie's focus appears to be on how physical exercise benefits our state of mind, reduces anxiety, stress, elevates mood and improves self-esteem.
His website states: "PMPT is all about reaping the positive benefits that exercise has on our mental state."
While many of the tv personality's supporters have been singing his praises for his new slim figure, some of the comments Matt has received haven't been all that kind.
In April of this year, Matt tweeted that he had been thin-shamed while attending a football match. Taking to the social media platform, he wrote: "Shout out to the lady who stopped me at football today to ask me why I’ve lost weight and to inform me I look a lot older. For the first time in my life, I think I’ve just been thin-shamed.” Fans were quick to comment, showering him in love.
One said: "You look amazing, and most importantly, happy", while another wrote: "You look incredible and she knows it!!"
